His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR is a distinguished economist, banker, and transformational leader serving as the Governor of Abia State. With over three decades of experience in banking and financial management, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in both the private and public sectors.
Governor Otti holds a doctorate degree and has built a remarkable career in the Nigerian banking industry, rising to become the Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank Plc, one of Nigeria's leading financial institutions. His tenure was marked by innovation, strategic growth, and a commitment to excellence.
As Governor, Dr. Otti has prioritized youth empowerment, education, skills acquisition, and economic development. His vision for Abia State centers on building a knowledge-driven economy that leverages technology and innovation to create sustainable prosperity for all Abians.
