Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe

Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe is a globally recognised inventor, engineer, author, and entrepreneur. He invented and patented a robotic system used in minimally invasive medical robots — a technology whose assignee rights were acquired by the United States Government in 2017. He is a prolific contributor to the Harvard Business Review and a respected voice on technology, innovation, and Africa's digital future.

A US semiconductor industry veteran, Prof. Ekekwe's industry experience spans Diamond Bank, Analog Devices Corp, and NNPC. At Analog Devices, he worked on the team that designed a generation accelerometer for the iPhone, and he created the company's first wafer level chip scale package for inertial sensors.

He is the Founder and Chairman of Fasmicro Group, controlling companies including Zenvus (an agtech pioneer in Africa), First Atlantic Cybersecurity Institute (Facyber), Milonics Analytics (an IBM PartnerWorld member), and First Atlantic Semiconductor & Microelectronics. He recently co-founded Atlantic Americas, an engineering firm with major operations across northern Nigeria.

Prof. Ekekwe is a selection board member of the $100 Million Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program and Co-Chairman of JPL Financial Group, a California-based financial advisory firm that syndicates capital for projects in Africa. The African Leadership Network has honoured him as a "New Generation Leader for Africa".
